With the help of our community, we are able to provide critical services and support to survivors and their families each year. Your support communicates to domestic and sexual violence survivors they are valued, and that the community cares for their safety and well-being.

“Llegue al Shelter de CWS con mucho temor por mi seguridad y la de mis hijos, sin saber que pasaría conmigo y mis hijos con mucha vergüenza de no saber cómo seria, pero una vez que me encontré con una de las trabajadoras, me recibió de una forma muy amistosa como si nos conociéramos de anos, me hiso sentir que todo estaría bien. Gracias.”
Translation: I arrived at the CWS Shelter in April with great fear for my safety and that of my children, without knowing what would happen to me and my children, with a lot of shame of not knowing what it would be like, but once I met one of the workers, she welcomed me in a very friendly way as if we had known each other for years, it made me feel that everything would be fine. Thank you.
“I came to this shelter broken and scared. I had no idea of what was going to happen to me and my son […] both my son and I are new to this country and everything is pretty much new to us. The shelter has been really helpful, most of the staff members have been amazing with information and for this I have nothing but thankfulness. I had never been homeless before so this was really difficult for me but all of you made it easier for us to adjust to the environment.”
