Farewell to an Old Friend

Janet Landsberg 11/1/1965 – 1/19/2014

CWS is deeply saddened by the unexpected passing of Janet Landsberg. It was a pleasure to work along side her as a Board member and an advocate for women and children.

While Janet served on the CWS Board of Directors, she was instrumental in the launch of the Beyond Shelter Initiative in which CWS works with participants to stabilize their housing through a variety of options getting them into new housing quickly or helping them retain the housing they are in currently. She understood that survivors in an emergency situation need a safe place to stay first and foremost.

Her passing presents a huge loss to our community and our hearts go out to her family and friends.
