Holiday Healing with CWS
In the short, overcast days leading up to Thanksgiving, many of us direct our thoughts towards the warmth of home and family. We consider the time-honored recipes that will find a place at our table, the friends and relatives we will spend time with, and the giving season just around the corner.
Here at Clackamas Women’s Services, we also reflect on the survivors we serve and how to support them during this season. The Holidays can be a challenging, emotional time for CWS participants and their children, many of whom have had to make significant transitions in the past year.
To provide care and support during this season, Clackamas Women’s Services organizes a Holiday Store in mid-December, which allows participants to select gifts for their children at no cost in a safe, festive environment. Many individuals, community organizations, and businesses come together to provide items that children and teens have put on our Holiday Wish List. Will you join more than a dozen community organizations and help us make the Holidays a time of support and healing for more than 250 children affected by domestic violence?
We will be collecting new, unwrapped toys and gifts until December 17th. Click here to take a look at our Participant Holiday Wish List, or click here to simply make an order online from our Amazon Holiday Wish list.
Thank you for your willingness to partner with us this year to make the Holidays bright for survivors of domestic violence in our community.
